Mom has this copy of a photo that Uncle Johnny took years ago. Aunt Joy said it was 1967. It does bring back memories, doesn't it.

Aunt Judy

I’ve just gotten home from Aunt Judy’s funeral with a terrible feeling of sadness. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like a funeral should be a celebration of the person’s life. This was the most impersonal funeral I think I have ever attended. Sam said the visitation on Friday night was better, but I didn’t know about that in time to get there. So, can we celebrate Aunt Judy’s life here by posting our memories of her?

One of my earliest memories of Aunt Judy is of her fixing my hair. We were at Grandma and Grandpa’s house (I don’t remember if that was when we lived there or before) and she braided my hair on the sides, then pulled the braids back in a barrette. She said it was the way she wore her hair when she was my age. Then she found a picture of herself with her hair fixed just like that, saying how much I looked like her.

Teresa's Wedding

Teresa Ann Colligan and Derek Nunnelley were married on September 22. Here is a photo from the wedding.

Edmondson Family Reunion

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 7. That's the date of the family reunion. 1:00, Mom and Dad's place. Good food, good company, lots of fun. We'll see everyone there.

This photo must have been taken about 1940, since Uncle David is a baby. I'll have to ask Dad where it was taken. Grandma & Grandpa holding David. In front are Johnny, Norman, Charles, Phil, Roger. Does anyone have a later photo with all ten kids?

Jackie's House and Daughters

Now that I'm at my computer again I have pictures of my daughters and the house we just finished building. They are Ashley, 13, Melissa, 16, and Tori, 12.They grow up way too fast. Melissa is driving and has a boyfriend and I'm really not ready for the boyfriend. Maybe I can trade driving for boys for a few years.



Ashley took this photo of the house a few months before we finished it. I need to take a new one where you can actually see the house. Compared to the trailer we were living in, it is a mansion. The girls each have their own room which is great. I have a loft and lots of storage space to keep all my basket stuff.
